As we wake from our post carnival and mother hen crash, we truly want to thank all of you for supporting us all year long! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

We wish to congratulate Vulcanus Rex L###VIII and the 2026 Vulcan Krewe and wish them all the best as they embark on their year! ✌🏼🔥

On this "Thoughtful Thursday," we are excited to bring you the closing thoughts from YOUR 2025 Vulcanus Rex, the 87th, Heath Aubin! ✌️🔥✌️

Vulc's involvement was inspired by Vulcanus Rex LVI and the 1993 Vulcan Krewe✌️. He saw them in parades, and at events throughout the community...witnessed firsthand how they carried themselves, giving back to each community they came upon. "Why not?!" he thought 💭, "giving back while having a great time sounds pretty good!" From there, he instantly fell in love ❤️ with the legacy that is Winter Carnival.

As for memories 💭, there are too many to choose from! Vulc loved how every character rose to each occasion they were presented, & greatly appreciated the tremendous hospitality across communities & festivals. That said, close to his heart ❤️ was being able to knight his children, granddaughter 👶, dad 👨, and his 92 year old grandma 👵!

Finally, a bit of advice for 8️⃣7️⃣: "whenever possible, bring your krewe in for a huddle, and take a moment to acknowledge what you're doing. Tell them to peak 👀 their heads out of that huddle, and soak it in. Then go have fun!"

He continues with one incredibly important piece of advice (for all "legend characters")🔊: "always remember that, no matter the time ⏳️ of year, it’s always someone’s first time meeting a Vulcan ✌️. Keep up the positive energy and make us proud!"

What's on Your Mind Wednesday!

This mid-week (🐫), we welcome you to wind down thoughts of the baby 👶 of the krewe, YOUR 2025 Count Embrious! 🔥✌️🔥

Young EB wanted to get involved with the Vulcans because he has seen 👀 first hand the impact a Krewe has within the communities they visit. "We have the ability to keep up the warmth and happiness, or to provide a 'pick-me-up' to someone who might need a smile."

EB's favorite memory 💭 is something he can take with him: gaining a whole new set of brothers 🤝. He found it was easy to become a family over the course of the year ⏳️, and that said- it's hard to narrow down one particular memory out of so many!

Finally EB leaves us with words 🔊 of wisdom on this whimsical Wednesday: "respect the tradition, but make your it your own." He continues, recognizing "you’ll get plenty of advice during your year, but always remember that each year is different, every event is different, but no matter what this is your year! Make the most of it!" ✌️

Talk about it Tuesday!

Today, we bring you the closing thoughts of YOUR 2025 Baron Hot Sparkus! 🔥

Immediately, Sparky knew that becoming a Vulcan ✌️ was the chance of a lifetime. As someone who was born and raised in, and self proclaimed son of St Paul, it was a dream come true!

Sparky's favorite memory 💭 was interacting with people at parades. Seeing old friends and even a ex-wife (!😅) and seeing the surprise 😯 on their faces was so fun! And, being able to knight those close to you provides everyone with an inviting experience!

Finally, Sparky offers his closing advice to the incoming krewe for 2026: "get your rest 💤😴 when you can, and enjoy every moment. This year will go fast!"

Technically, it's Meet the Krewe Monday! And today, the keeper of the flame 🔥, General Flameous himself shares his motivation for the incoming krewe!

As a self proclaimed "gear head," our young Flame witnessed the krewe riding on their chariot: 🚒 Luverne, in the early 90s. In that instant, it clicked, and he knew he wanted to be one of "those guys." 😉✌️

One of his favorite memories 💭 of his year took place during a parade. He saw a mother, holding her newborn 👩‍🍼 and watching the parade and krewe go by. Flame went over to her and was allowed to hold the new baby 👶 for a photo 📸 op!

Finally, Flame 🔥 offers this to the incoming krewe: "go ahead and pinch yourself...you're a Vulcan! ✌️" And if that doesn't sum up the honor of tradition, we dont know what does!

Sentimental Sunday is upon us as today, we bring you closing sentiments from the sw***er of the krewe, YOUR 2025 Count of Ashes! ✌️🔥✌️

Ash was looking for a way to become more involved in the community, and wanted a way to give back, even if it seemed to be in a small 🤏 way. What better way than becoming part of St. Paul Winter Carnival?! 🔥❄️🔥

Amazingly - Ash can't pinpoint 📍 just one favorite memory 💭 from his year. However, he does mention that meeting 🤝 so many great new people was a definite highlight, and is thankful that he will have life long memories!

Ash leaves us with a final note 📝 for the incoming krewe, short and sweet: "take every moment in stride, and enjoy the ride!🚒"

Speak your mind Saturday! (😉)

Today, we bring you closing thoughts from the one and only 2025 Grand Duke Fertilious,the propagator of progeny himself! ✌️🔥✌️

When Ferty was but a young lad, he attended the Grand Day Parade with his Grandpa. He saw 👀 the Vulcans and knew instantly, "I want to be one of them!"

One of his favorite memories 💭 was close to home. The 2025 krewe knighted his parents, brother, children, and wife! Their excitement was worth it all!

Finally, Ferty offers his advice to the incoming krewe: "go all in! Try to experience every opportunity - it will go super fast." Definite words of wisdom.

Welcome to the first ever Krewe Forum Friday! 😉

Today, we bring you closing thoughts from the herder of the Krewe, Vulc's aide de camp - the one and only: Duke of Klinker! ✌️🔥

Klink decided he wanted to become a Vulcan when he realized he could be a contributing factor in bringing someone a moment of happiness and joy. He says "seeing the joy on or wonder in someone's face makes my day & fills my heart ❤️ with gratitude."

His favorite memory 💭 over the course of the year was seeing his family in the crowd at parades. "It was great to have their support!"

Finally, Klink offers this to the incoming Krewe: "you will get out of it what you put into it, so enjoy every minute ⏳️! You have a greater impact on people than you can imagine!"

Thoughts from the Krewe Thursday! (Has a nice ring to it! 😉)

First up with their closing thoughts, we begin with the "oldest member of the krewe," our Prince of Soot, Rick Diaz.

Sooty decided he would become involved after he witnessed his mother be knighted ⚔️ by a past krewe. To first hand observe the joy 😊 and happiness it brought her made him think 🤔 that if he could brighten someone's day the same way, he should!

Some of Sooty's favorite memories 💭 of his year come from visiting homes of the elderly in our great community. Of course, as the ladies man 🌹, the women at these homes just loved to dance with Sooty - sometimes not letting go! 🕺💃 Of course, most would be remiss if they didn't also mention that riding the back of Luverne 🚒 was an experience like no other!

Finally, a piece of advice to the incoming Sooty 🗣: HAVE FUN! 🎉 "You won't always know what's going to happen, so just go for it & don't overthink the moment!"

Hail the Soot, Hail the Vulc! ✌️🔥✌️

In honor of our last week as YOUR favorite Krewe of 2026 ✌️🔥✌️ - we will be running a final round of Meet the Krewe! It has been our great pleasure representing our Saintly 😇 City 🌃 and all our amazing followers!

Happiest New Year 🎆 to our faithful followers! We trust that you're all getting geared up for another amazing Winter ❄️🔥 Carnival celebration!

Vulcanus Rex the 87th ✌️ was incredibly grateful to have been asked to represent our RED side at the 137th Annual Tournament of Roses 🌹! What an honor!

We're hoping some of that California sunshine 🌞 followed us home to bring heat 🔥 to our upcoming 140th year!
