How do you celebrate a birthday for a baby you never got to hold?
There’s no guidebook for this kind of love. No perfect tradition. No “right” way to mark a day that is both full of longing and full of meaning.
And yet… we still want to honor them.
Some people light a candle and sit in the quiet for a moment.
Some write a letter to their baby, telling them what life looks like now.
Some release balloons, plant flowers, or visit a special place that feels close to them.
Some bake a cake anyway—just to say, you were here. you mattered.
Some donate, do an act of kindness, or share their baby’s name so the world doesn’t forget.
And some just survive the day… and that is enough, too. There’s no “too small” way to remember. No “too simple” way to love.
So how do you celebrate?
