I am honored to have joined over 20,000 Black men from across the nation last night to support Vice President Harris and Black-led organizations dedicated to getting out the vote this summer and fall. It's essential to understand that as Black men in America, our perspectives are unique and should never be underestimated. The call we participated in was substantive, not superficial.

One crucial realization was the presence of support, albeit limited from Black men. Now is the time to harness our social, political, and financial influence to help elect our Vice President as President. This is our mission.

With 105 days remaining, there is no time to waste. We are more intelligent and better connected than the status quo. This effort is not about simply energizing America or expressing personal views on the Vice President. It's about justice, the future of Black Americans, and prioritizing our community's needs. For the next 105 days, we must engage actively, ensuring we communicate with at least 20 people daily about our cause.

Now is the moment to demonstrate our ability to organize and mobilize. The past actions do not matter; what we do now does. We must support one of the first progressive District Attorneys in America, focusing on her qualifications and preparedness. Rallying our community, finances, and connections is vital, as we are going to need all the support we can gather. This election cycle has the potential to reshape our party, not to further divide us.

That said, I trust that there will be a fair, impartial and democratic process to secure the party nomination. Let’s organize, strategize, mobilize and win. We got this!

Dear Community Members,

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of an East Side community member, who was in distress and in need of help. Instead of receiving the support she needed, she lost her life during an encounter with the St. Paul police.

This incident underscores the urgent need for reforms in how law enforcement responds to mental health crises. Our thoughts are with her loved ones, and we demand transparency and accountability in the investigation of this heartbreaking incident.

Furthermore, this serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for better training and resources for law enforcement when responding to mental health crises.

It is disheartening to note that since 2000, nearly 40 people have been killed by officers within the Saint Paul Police Department, at least 7 of whom lost their lives under the current administration. We urge Mayor Melvin Carter to take decisive action to address this public safety crisis.

In solidarity,

Alexander J. Bourne

This Thanksgiving, I won't be hosting a dinner. Instead, I've got 300 turkeys to share. 40 will be prepared by local restaurants and community members for those who can't cook. The remaining 260 will be given out first-come, first-serve on Nov. 22. Two raw turkeys max and one cooked turkey per person. Location and time TBD. Email [email protected] to request a turkey or volunteer.

With immense pleasure, we, representing the Minnesota Rapid Response Coalition, extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Sam Ndley, former President of the Zeta Nu Sigma Chapter, and Ms. Cierra Hardin on their sacred matrimony today.

May this union be imbued with enduring love and prosperity.

Notably, under Brother Sam Ndley's exceptional leadership, a substantial sum of $10,000 was raised to support our ongoing endeavors.

May the journey ahead be adorned with affection, prosperity, and the legacy of dedicated leadership.

Who Are We? #WeAreMRRC

Minnesota Rapid Response Coalition is committed to rapidly responding to community crisis in the state. Aurora St Anthony Neighborhood Development Corporation, Bourne Strategies, Kindly, The Sanneh Foundation, Ujamaa Place and community is whom this coalition encompasses. Our corporate partners are Amazon and Ameriprise Financial. Our fiscal agent is Ujamaa Place so your donation is tax exempt.

Many of our local small businesses are being adversely impacted by the protests related to the murder of George Floyd. This coalition has joined together to help with the clean-up, in efforts to lower their unforeseen expenses so that they can get back to work and thrive. We have started with businesses along the Lake Street, Midway and East Saint Paul business corridors but will soon begin allocating resources throughout the Twin Cities.
