Leaders! Don’t forget about Wood Badge!

Several of our leaders have interest. A couple have already signed up.

Wood Badge is the premier, advanced leadership training course for adult volunteers and professionals, aimed at strengthening scouting units. It teaches modern leadership and team development that fosters a deeper commitment to the scouting program.

Our council offers Wood Badge training every two years.

We are a few weeks away from an event that is bigger than any one person. This event is instrumental in providing scholarships to local Scouts as they work toward continuing their education. YOU can make a difference by taking part this year.

🗓️: Saturday, April 11th

⏰: Registration opens at 12:00pm — Shoot begins at 1:00pm

📍: Camp Geiger — Wes Re*****on Sporting Complex

💰: $50/person (shells not included) — shells available for $12/box on site

✅ ALL PROCEEDS go toward Scouting Scholarships

That purple patch we wear has a special meaning. It symbolizes something greater than our unit, greater than our council, greater than our national organization. It represents a worldwide movement. A global brotherhood. We are members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).

Every time we wear the uniform, we represent our units, our council, our national organization, and the WOSM.

Camping season is upon us.

Units are preparing and doing their outings. Now is a good time to join a unit and take advantage of the upcoming camps and outdoor adventures for Cubs Scouts and Scouts BSA.

If you live in St. Joseph and are looking for a unit, stop by one of our weekly meetings at Ashland United Methodist Church. Sit through a meeting and see what we’re all about.
