Show Me Women Who Care

Show Me Women Who Care Show Me Women Who Care This is all done in one hour or less! Sounds pretty easy doesn’t it? It is!

We meet four times a year, three women explain a local cause, all those in attendance vote, and we write our checks to fund the winning cause.

We are so happy to announce that AFL-CIO "Soles for Christ" is the charity chosen to receive our funds for August! This will enable many, many students to receive new shoes to wear to school this year. Our funds will be used to purchase the exact size and style for children in pre-K through high school.
Thanks to the generosity of our giving circle, Show Me Women Who Care, we were able to present $6,330 to the Sisters of Solace in May. These funds were used to provide a place of employment for the ladies in dire need who live at SOS while they learn skills which will allow them to obtain many life skills for self-confidence and for their independence when they move on.
This is the 13th year that Show Me Women Who Care has continued to provide for those most in need in Andrew and in Buchanan Counties. To become part of this giving circle, email

Our giving circle, Show Me Women Who Care, amazes me every day! These compassionate women, although very busy, take time to think of others! Due to their generosity, we have been able to give away over $250,000 in the 13 years we have been in existence!
And ALL THIS MONEY stays in the communities of Andrew and Buchanan Counties. SMWWC keeps nothing!
Interested in becoming a member? Contact me for information . . . we meet 4 times a year, with 30 minute meetings! That's all there is to having a say in which charity will receive our funds for each quarter.
This quarter we are blessing Sisters of Solace as they continue to provide a safe haven for women who are on the streets, with educational and occupational opportunities.

05/14/2021

Congratulations to Sisters of Solace who is the winning charity for this quarter! After only one week, our members have made it possible to donate $2,460 for this safe haven for women. And there is more to come! Thank you to all the busy ladies who make time to help those in most need in our communities!
If you are interested in how to become a member, please contact me through Facebook to this account. We have given away over $250,000 in the 13 years since we began in St. Joseph. We have members from Andrew, Buchanan, and Clinton counties . . . all of that money has gone to help the charities who have the most need in Andrew/Buchanan Counties! Our meetings are 30 minutes long, 4 times a year, and we are able to accomplish great things!

03/02/2021

Yesterday I was able to present $5,420 to The Center on behalf of Show Me Women Who Care! And there will be more, thanks to the wonderful compassion of our members in this giving circle! SMWWC is truly pleased to be able to help charities/non-profit groups who serve those in most need in our communities of Andrew and Buchanan Counties.
Want to join us in our outreach? It takes little time as we choose a new charity 4 times a year. In person meetings are only 30 minutes; right now we are still doing "email" meetings, and it still works, as you can see from what we presented to The Center. And you don't even have to attend the meetings, although that is part of the fun so you can personally vote on which charity will be chosen!

Show Me Women Who Care (giving circle) is so pleased to announce that the charity chosen for us to champion this quarter is THE CENTER (SAMARITAN CENTER)! After our contribution of $5,525 to VOICES OF COURAGE last quarter, we are ready to donate funds for The Center and their programs of assisting those who come to them for mental health assistance. Thank you, Show Me Women Who Care, for your caring and compassionate generosity!
Interested in joining our efficient giving circle, just let me know! We meet once every 3 months and our meetings last 30 minutes and no longer! We meet after work (5:30) so we are able to champion a charity every 3 months! Right now, due to COVID, we are meeting through emails and our members are fantastic!

11/20/2020

Please plan to join so you can be part of our February 8, 2021 meeting (or email meeting)! Show Me Women Who Care is a giving circle of ladies.

Show Me Women Who Care is happy to announce that Voices of Courage Child Advocacy Center has been chosen as the charity we champion for the quarter of November, 2020 - January, 2021!
Thank you for all members who submitted charities to be considered, and for all who took time to vote online!
Thanks to our generous members, we have already collected $3,885 in just 10 days. And there is more coming! We hope to reach the $5,000 mark or beyond!
Thank you to all who presented charities and to all who took time to vote. I truly appreciate our giving circle, who continues to support and invite friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family to join Show Me Women Who Care.
Our meetings are only 30 minutes, but due to Covid, we have been having an email "meeting" each quarter to enable us to keep helping those in most need in Andrew and Buchanan Counties.
I truly appreciate all members who are reaching out to invite friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, church friends, and others who are compassionate about helping others.
Please reach out to one of our 126 active members to find out more about Show Me Women Who Care. We truly are a group of ladies who are busy, but who want to improve the lives of those in need.

09/11/2020

Our next meeting will be November 9. I will let you know if it will be in person at the East Hills Library or if we will do it by email.
Either way, I hope to see you there or to hear from you!

Yea!!!! We have not collected $4,525 for the Free Clinic at the Social Welfare Board. We are so happy that our donations will be used to provide life-giving medicines to those in poverty.
Our meetings are on hold because of Covid, but we are conducting business through email! We are determined to keep on helping those in most need in Andrew and Buchanan Counties.
If you are a compassionate woman and you would like to help others in a big way, please contact me, Elaine Ingle on this site.
It is very easy to be part of this giving circle . . . all we ask is a commitment to donate $25 a quarter and all money goes to the charity chosen. You as a member have a vote in deciding which charity we will assist. Many people choose to give more, but whatever your gift, know that it all goes to the charity. SMWWC keeps NO money!
