The Caledonia Trail Collaborative is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that believes trails enhance the quality of life for area residents and contribute to the vibrancy of our communities. Our mission is to work with area stakeholders to create and manage sustainable, human-powered recreational trails that are open to the public; to promote responsible use, conservation, and youth parti

cipation; and to respect the values of our communities and the vision of landowners. At present, we have about a mile and a half of publicly accessible singletrack open to the public, with plans for more in the works. The trailhead is located approximately 200 yards west of 450 Clark Rd. You will see a level parking area with a chain across the entrance. Simply lower the chain and put back up when you leave. Please note: The trails are open during daytime hours. Dogs should be on a leash and smoking, camping, and campfires are all forbidden. Hunting is by permission of the landowners. Please keep in mind this is a quiet residential area. Please drive slowly, and, despite how pumped you may be for or after your ride, please avoid cranking your radio and hooting and hollering :)

The Black Trail is re-opened!
Yesterday's installation of the new culvert in The St. Johnsbury Town Forest went exceptionally well. While it only took a little over a day to complete the site work, many hands contributed many hours over the past year to fix this spot. Thanks to the Northern Forest Center for funding, the Town of St. Johnsbury, Recreation Department, River Bend Career and Technical Center, and Vermont Mountain Bike Association for support, and Wagner's Construction for the site work. This couldn't have been done without all of you. We are so grateful!
Happy trails!

It’s finally happening! We are pleased to announce that nearly two years after flooding washed it out, the new culvert is being installed on the Black Trail in the St. Johnsbury Town Forest! Please steer clear of the worksite for the next couple of days while the contractor completes the work. In the meanwhile, use “Little Wing” to access and exit the trails.

A certain Monsieur Dussault reports that Razor’s Edge, GMC, and Buckshot are all leaf-blown. Go for a ride, run, walk your dog or your llama — whatever you fancy. Would be nice to get some traffic. See you out there!!!

Thanks to our CTC members and our friends at we were able to purchase these awesome — and with a serious discount from
We engage with so many young trail builders, so these light-and-manageable tools are perfect for them (ok, and for us slightly older folk 🤣). We tested them out on the 4 NEW TRAILS we built this summer, and these tools rock!
