BREAKING: TORNADO IN ARIZONA🌪️the Storm Prediction Center database depicts a landspout tornado occurred today just south-southwest of Concho, Arizona in Apache County. No known damage or injuries. A landspout tornado is a tornado and different from a dust devil🌪️

1.) Travel with extra water incase you break down or see someone else.
2.) Limit your outside activities during midday
3.) Check on your neighbors and make sure everyone is ok.

Gardening out here has been a challenge. In years past I have lost crops to rats, mice and rabbits. I have used smelly repellents, lights, sounds, fake owls and traps with little if any success. This year I bought rubber snakes. I must say, other than scaring myself and friends, this has been a huge success!! I have had very, very little crop loss!!!

Flash Flood Warning have been issued for Show Low and the Holbrook areas. Stay home, stay safe.

Monsoonal rain is supposed to be coming later this week. That means the 4 “dry” water crossings that we take to get from town to home may not be so dry. Plan accordingly, go to town early in the day and try to avoid driving on the dirt roads on stormy nights.

It only takes 8” of rapidly moving water to take a vehicle from a road. Turn around to high ground and wait. If you have lived here any length of time, you may have gotten temporarily stuck between the crossing. Sit it out and wait for the water to recede.

Fire Danger is high!

Please help keep us all safe by staying alert and not burning trash right now. I know that is asking a lot but we really must safe guard each other.

We have been getting some afternoon rain but with that comes lightening. Please keep an eye out for lightening strikes and don’t hesitate to call 911 if you see a fire.
