This was the last time ringing the bells at St. John Berchmans in Jocko for the summer. Next Sunday the 11:30 AM mass returns to Sacred Heart Church in Arlee. Thank you all who came out to celebrate with us today!

Sister Joan Bartin, OP, of the Dominican Sisters, Sparkill, New York, died on August 19, 2026, in Siena Hall, Dominican Convent. She was 95 years old.

From 1980 until 2009, Sister Joan served the Native American community in Montana in the Diocese of St. Helena, as Pastoral Associate at Sacred Heart Mission in Arlee.

Later next week, we will schedule a Rosary Vigil for Sr. Joan at Sacred Heart Church in Arlee. Be on the lookout for details forthcoming.

Eternal rest grant unto Sr. Joan, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
