FFYI: Free summer meal service for children 18 and under in St. Gabriel throughout the month of June.

“Families can pick up Grab & Go meal packages on a first-come, first-served basis at select locations across the region, including White Castle, St. Gabriel, and Maringouin. Each child will receive 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, and 1 gallon of milk, with a maximum of 5 meal packages per vehicle. Meal distribution will take place from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM on scheduled dates throughout the month.”

The Diocese of Baton Rouge Child Nutrition Program is once again offering FREE Summer Meal Services for children ages 18 and under throughout June! 🍎☀️

Let’s help our students get ready for their future!

The Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC) is NOW accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year through Monday, JUNE 1.

BRYC is an amazing after-school program that helps students prepare for college and future success through mentoring, academic support, tutoring, college prep and more.

As a mentor with BRYC for the past two years, I’ve personally seen students grow in confidence, improve study skills, prepare for college and scholarships and begin planning for their future.

Programs meet one day a week after school, with additional tutoring and support available throughout the year.

I highly recommend this opportunity for any 8th–12th grade student. If you have questions, let us know and we’ll help connect you with answers.
