Dear RESET Shareholders and Families,

We would like to inform you that RESET St. Augustine’s last day of after-school tutoring for this semester will be December 11th. As we move into the new year, RESET will no longer offer after-school tutoring on Mondays and Thursdays.

The RESET founders and board will be using this time to revamp, evaluate, and further define our mission to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our students and community in the most impactful way possible.

While we may be discontinuing this particular service for now, RESET remains fully committed to serving our community in meaningful areas of need. We look forward to sharing updates as we evolve and strengthen our purpose moving forward.

Next on our where are they now campaign is Lucy Hess!

Prior to graduating from SAHS Lucy was a RESET tutor helping students with various levels of math courses while balancing her courses and extracurricular activities.

Currently Lucy is a junior at the University of Central Florida studying Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. She is currently working as a nanny to two girls, aged 2 and 3, and student interning in a first grade classroom at Riverdale Elementary. Lucy is planning to come back to St. John’s County to teach following graduation and pursue a Master’s in Math Education.

We hope SJCSD is lucky enough to get her back, RESET will sure be glad to see her! Lucy thank you for all you did and continue to do to help students. We saw first hand how amazing you are at making math concepts accessible for all students!

We are excited to launch RESET Where Are They Now?! One of the best parts of doing what we do is getting updates from our former students and seeing how far their hard work has taken them. At RESET our goal is to make sure every student has a plan for life after high school and along the way helping them develop the skills they will need to achieve whatever they set out to do. Over the next few weeks we will revisit some of our former students and see where they are today!

To kick off this campaign we will start with Trevon Dirden. Tre sent in the message below:

“My name is Trevon Dirden. I’m currently in my junior year attending Shorter University in Rome, GA studying sports management and marketing. I’m also on a football scholarship as well. RESET helped me to where I am today for all the undivided help throughout all my academic troubles. I’ll be forever thankful for all they did and will continue to do not only for me, but for everyone they serve. THANK YOU RESET!”

We are proud to see everything Tre has accomplished so far and can’t wait to see what comes next!
