A beautiful day for outreach and helping the dogs who need us most. 🐾

Today we made our rounds to provide monthly flea & tick prevention, fresh food, and clean water to dogs in our community. Sometimes it’s the small things — a full belly, relief from itching, a clean bowl of water — that make the biggest difference.

Every visit is another reminder of why we do this. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps us continue reaching dogs that need compassion, care, and a helping hand. ❤️

We also need more flea and tick meds, which is on our Amazon wishlist!!

Becoming a foster isn’t just opening your home… it’s opening a whole new world for a dog who’s never truly had one.

For so many of the dogs we meet, life has meant chains, isolation, and surviving instead of living. No soft bed. No consistent love. No understanding of what it means to be part of a family.

Fostering is the moment everything changes.

It’s the first time they step inside and don’t quite know what to do.
It’s the confusion, the fear… and then the curiosity.
It’s teaching them that hands can be gentle. That voices can be kind. That they’re safe.

It’s celebrating the smallest wins — the first tail wag, the first time they relax, the first time they choose to trust you.

But we won’t sugarcoat it — fostering is not easy.
It takes patience, consistency, and heart. Some days are messy. Some days feel like two steps forward, one step back. You’re helping a dog unlearn a lifetime of survival and replace it with trust, and that takes real dedication.

But then comes the moment that makes it all worth it…

When the dog who once lived at the end of a chain walks confidently into their forever home — because of you.

Because you gave them the chance to learn how to be loved.

We can’t do this work without fosters. You are the bridge between their past and their future.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign. Change a life — and it just might change yours too. 🐾💛

Message us to learn more about becoming a foster.

Please fill out our foster application to be considered! Please answer honestly as it helps us place the best animal in your care, and with it in mind that you will be caring for another living being that has probably been abused, forgotten, or . Outside dogs have SUCH a high chance of having heartworm, please help us educate our community on ALL risks 🤍

🦟 It only takes ONE mosquito bite.

That’s all it takes for a dog to become infected with heartworm disease.

Heartworms are spread through mosquitoes and live in a dog’s heart and lungs, where they can cause serious damage over time. Unfortunately, many shelters see dogs arrive already heartworm positive because they were never protected.

The good news? Heartworm disease is preventable.

🐾 Quick facts:
• Heartworm is spread through mosquito bites
• The worms live in the heart and lungs
• It can cause serious health problems if left untreated
• Treatment is possible, but it can be long and hard on dogs

The best thing you can do for your pet is talk with your veterinarian about heartworm testing and prevention options to find what works best for your dog.

A little prevention can make a big difference. ❤️
