One of Saginaw's best kept secrets is the Barton Theater Organ! The Temple Theatre and The Golden Voiced Barton made their public debut on July 28, 1927. People are genuinely surprised to find out that the Barton Organ is still in use for performances today when our organists perform prior to events in the theatre.

This is one of our most treasured photographs of Andrew Rogers sitting at the Temple Theater Barton Organ, a timeless legacy that continually sparks inspiration in us, deeply cherished by everyone at the Saginaw Temple Theater. He is greatly missed by all of us in the Temple Theater Organ Club.

The year is 1957 and the film "Les Girls" with Gene Kelly and Mitzi Gaynor was playing at the Temple Theater. Also notice that WNEM TV 5 office was located on the corner where the theater office is now.

Would you like to expand your knowledge of the Temple Theater Barton 3/11 Organ? Make plans to attend the organ club meeting, open to all interested individuals, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Temple Theatre. These meetings provide an opportunity to review maintenance requirements and accomplished tasks, as well as plan upcoming events. Notably, preparations will soon begin to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the theatre and the organ in 2027.
