May 2nd is just round the corner, and we're honored that Birch Run Rotary selected ConnEQtions as one of the non-profit organizations their annual Run for the Roses fundraiser will benefit! Along with the Birch Run and Taymouth Twp fire departments, ConnEQtions has the opportunity to be on the receiving end of our community's support, and we can't thank you enough!

Please help the event be a success by scanning the QR code below and "buying a horse" to run the races on May 2nd. Rotary is hoping to sell 200 horses, help us meet that goal and join us on May 2nd to celebrate!

When we began offering services on a pro-bono basis several years ago, we provided around 40 units of service in that first year. In 2024 we founded our non-profit officially with the IRS, and in 2025 ended the year providing 275 units of service during the calendar year.

What does this mean?

Well, it means that we need your help. As we grow, we still aim to provide services at no cost or minimal cost for those that benefit from attending but are not in a position to pay out of pocket. We need community partners and donors to help us do the work that we do - equine facilitated coaching and therapeutic horsemanship.

It also means we need volunteers. We'll teach you how to be a horse leader or side walker for a young rider with disabilities. We'll teach you how to assist with stable and classroom learning. We'll help you learn about body language and confidence, so that you can model appropriately for the women who are working on these skills.

Do you prefer not to work with people during sessions, and instead just work on a facilities level? That's a huge help too - and there are plenty of areas where you can get involved.
