Volunteers paint on a Saturday in the spring. Box 1131, Safety Harbor, FL 34695) is a local nonprofit that enables citizens to lend a helping hand by painting the exteriors of homes and cleaning and landscaping the yards of low-income and elderly homeowners of Safety Harbor. Since our creation in 1991, we have spruced up more than 180 homes at no cost to the owner. Professional painters, along wi

th local businesses and residents, donate supplies and services to help us reach our goal of painting five homes a year. To be considered to have your house painted, you must meet the following criteria:
- Own and live in the home as your primary residence.
- Live in the City of Safety Harbor
and
- Be over 62 years of age with a limited income, or
- be physically disabled, or
- have a family income equal to or less than twice the HUD poverty level. To GET INVOLVED
- The next Paint Your Heart Out Safety Harbor date is March 5, 2021. Volunteers to paint and landscape must be age 14 or older and sign a waiver. If you're more comfortable working behind the scenes, we are always in need of supplies ranging from tools like shovels and paintbrushes to water for the volunteers on paint day. And, of course, as a 501(c)3, any monetary donation you make to us is tax deductible. Please make donations payable to:

We are doing a little prework this morning for . We painted this Harbor Oaks Circle home in 2020, but the homeowner can't keep up with the yard. Our board member Jonathan Mills brought out a small groups of vols today to clear the big stuff. Next week Hands vols will be out to rake and lay mulch and leave her with something more sustainable. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We are joining in the Hands Across the Harbor Day of Service May 16 with a yard cleanup for a woman whose house we painted a few years back that just can't manage the evasive growth. We need volunteers to make it tidy and sustainable for her. Please scroll down to the YARD CLEANUPS. The good news? We have a landscaper on our board who is coming in the week before to knock down the big stuff. We'll mostly be pulling weeds and spreading mulch.
