CONTENT WARNING: Sexual abuse, sexual violence, trauma. Please read with care.

The numbers no one is talking about:
đź”´ Neurodivergent youth are 3 to 4 times more likely to experience sexual victimization than their neurotypical peers.
đź”´ Between 40% and 50% of autistic adults report experiencing sexual abuse during childhood.
đź”´ Among autistic women, the rate of sexual violence is 2 to 3 times higher than non-autistic women.
🔴 And when they come forward — they are among the least likely to be believed.
This is not a footnote. This is a crisis.
Neurodivergent youth don't always have the social vocabulary to name what happened to them. They are taught to comply, to defer, to mask. Predators know this. Systems fail them anyway.
At A3S — the Autism + AuDHD Appreciation Society, we serve youth ages 15 to 25 with trauma-informed, neuro-informed wraparound care — because safety isn't just about a roof. It's about building the internal sovereignty to recognize danger, name it, and survive it.
These kids deserve to be believed. They deserve to be protected. They deserve more runway.
We're building it.

What happened to Clavicular isn’t just an internet story. It’s a warning.

Braden Peters — known online as Clavicular — is 20 years old. He built an entire identity around optimizing his body to be accepted by a world that never gave him a real rulebook to begin with.
An arrest. A suspected overdose on livestream. And millions of young people watching.
Andra breaks it down in her video — and she does it well. But I want to add a layer most people aren’t talking about:

This is what lethal masking looks like.
When a neurodivergent young person can’t find belonging through connection, they find it through performance. Looksmaxxing, substances, extremism — these aren’t just bad choices. They’re survival strategies that were never supposed to be permanent.

The tragedy isn’t that he went too far. The tragedy is that nobody gave him a safer place to land first.
At A3S — the Autism + AuDHD Appreciation Society — we work with neurodivergent youth ages 15 to 25 — foster kids, wards of the court, young people who fell through every gap the system had — and we give them what Braden never had:
✦ A neuro-informed, trauma-informed environment
✦ Real social skill development — not performance, connection
✦ Wraparound care that meets them where they actually are
Different was never the problem. The absence of a safe place to be different — that’s the problem.
We’re building that place. 🏡💜

Most transitional housing gives young people a place to land.

A3S gives them a longer runway.

The Autism + AuDHD Appreciation Society was built on a simple truth: neurodivergent adolescents don't need less support as they transition into adulthood. They need more - and they need it to taper gradually, intentionally, and on their terms.

That means wraparound care. Job training. Life skills. Education pathways. And a community that sees their neurodivergence as an asset, not a liability.

This isn't charity. This is infrastructure.

A3S was born from lived experience - from knowing firsthand what it costs a young person when the system pulls the floor out from under them too soon. We exist because the runway wasn't long enough, and we refuse to let that be anyone else's story.

Autistic excellence isn't a destination. It's the standard we build toward, together.

Quick update since we’ve been a little quiet lately 🤍

Yes — we’re still here. Still building. Still very much in motion.

This season has been about laying things down the right way, not the rushed way. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and every piece is being placed with intention so what we’re creating can actually hold.

If you’ve been checking in, visiting, or wondering — I see you. Thank you for staying curious and connected while things are under construction.

We’re not paused. We’re preparing.

More soon. ✨

Welcome to Autism + AuDHD Appreciation Society (AAAS).

AAAS exists to center Autistic and AuDHD youth through trauma-informed care, community belonging, and practical support.

We believe neurodivergent young people deserve environments that honor who they are—without pressure to be fixed, masked, or reshaped.

Our work is guided by appreciation over awareness, dignity over deficit, and community over isolation.

This page will share our values, our developing programs, and the people shaping this work.

We’re glad you’re here. 🤍
