The wait is over! Colonial Heights Library will reopen on December 11 for basic library services.
We are excited to welcome you back. You’ll find a brand-new collection of books, new furniture, and computers. The building is still a work in progress. We will continue to renovate the meeting room and fill our shelves over the next few months.
Thank you for your patience, and a big thank you to all who have helped to restore this branch.

The news we've been waiting for from !

The wait is almost over. Our team has been working hard to get the Colonial Heights Library ready for you.

We will reopen the branch in two phases:

On December 9, 2025, we will open for basic library services.

In early 2026, the meeting room and study rooms will reopen, and programs will resume.

Starting December 9, the branch will offer basic library services while the meeting room is renovated. You'll be able to stay and visit, pick up your holds, return items, and use our public computers, Wi-Fi, and printers.

The building will be a work in progress. We will open with a small collection of books and materials. We received a shipment of books and materials this week, and most of our furniture has arrived. More deliveries are expected through early 2026. Thank you for your patience as we continue to fill our shelves over the next few months.

Construction crews are renovating the meeting room. There may be some construction noise, dust, and possible delayed openings. We will do our best to limit interruptions to library services.
