✨ Thank You for Making a Difference! ✨

We are deeply grateful to anonymous donors for their incredible gift of $50,000 in support of our Transitional Housing, Workforce Development, and Rehabilitation and Recovery programs. ❤️ Their generosity is helping us change lives and offer a path of hope to those in need.

Here’s how these programs are making a lasting impact:

🏠 Transitional Housing provides struggling families with a safe, furnished apartment for 6 months to 2 years, along with counseling, recovery programs, and job training. With 79% of residents moving on to permanent housing, these programs empower families to rebuild their lives.

👷 Workforce Development offers hands-on training and certifications, preparing individuals to secure stable employment and break the cycle of poverty.

🌟 Rehabilitation and Recovery transforms lives through comprehensive support for those battling addiction, helping them regain their health, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Together, these programs are a lifeline for so many in our community. 💙

To all of our donors and volunteers—your unwavering support fuels this mission every day. YOU are the heart of everything we do. Thank you for standing with us to serve those in need.

Today marked Jim Eldridge’s final meeting as Chairperson of The Salvation Army Sacramento Advisory Board. Over his tenure as Chair, Jim brought an infectious enthusiasm to the board that inspired action and commitment. His leadership shone through every time he spoke, and the board reflected his energy through their volunteerism, charitable giving, and steadfast dedication to the mission of The Salvation Army.

We are incredibly thankful for the service of our Advisory Board members. Their support makes it possible to serve the community through vital programs addressing homelessness, hunger, childhood poverty and early education, workforce development, and so much more.

Jim, thank you for your outstanding leadership as Chair. We look forward to your continued service on the board and the impact we will make together for those in need.

Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸

Since World War I, The Salvation Army has stood alongside our brave soldiers, beginning with our "Doughnut Lassies" who served doughnuts and comfort on the front lines. Today, we continue this mission by supporting veterans who face challenges here at home. From homelessness and hunger to addiction recovery and family support, we are committed to helping veterans rebuild and thrive.

Thank you to all who have served, and to those we now have the honor to serve. God bless you, and God bless America.

Last night, we celebrated an inspiring milestone at our Workforce Development graduation! Students from our Culinary Training and Construction Training programs proudly received their certificates, marking the completion of their courses and the beginning of new careers. Some of our graduates were unable to attend—because they were already at work. What better testament to the success of these programs than knowing they’re already out there, building their futures!

These students, having come through The Salvation Army’s recovery programs, are finding the stability and future they’ve worked hard for through the skills and confidence gained in workforce training. Major Rio Ray shared a powerful reminder with the graduates: “Life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.” Through transformative programs like Workforce Development, these graduates are embracing change and building solid futures.

The Salvation Army’s Del Oro Divisional Leader, Major John Brackenbury, also shared words of encouragement and scripture, reinforcing the message of hope and renewal.

Thank you to the donors, Advisory Board members, officers, staff, and volunteers who make this possible. Your support fuels the transformation happening here every day, helping individuals find lasting stability and purpose.
