Here ye hear ye, we have an upcoming coffee hour in horizon. And no this isn’t a joke.

An entire year in review...

💚 We pledge to be transparent in our governance, responsible in our use of resources, and thoughtful in our growth. As NAHEM expands across regions and partnerships, we will remain rooted in principles of stewardship and reciprocity, ensuring that growth never comes at the expense of cultural integrity, community consent, or care.

💚 Our leadership is guided by Indigenous values, including Eastern Woodland teachings that emphasize relational responsibility, collective care, and decision-making that considers the impact on future generations. We understand leadership not as individual authority, but as service to the people, accountability to community, and responsibility to those who come after US.

💚 We commit to honoring Traditional Ecological Knowledge, cultural practices, and Indigenous ways of knowing as living systems. These teachings remind us that education, health, mentorship, and workforce development are interconnected and must be approached holistically, with respect for land, water, language, and community balance.

Urban Indigenous Futures - A Gathering for Native Families

Urban Indigenous Futures is a space for Indigenous families to gather, reconnect, and build the future of our communities together.

This gathering is part of a larger effort to listen to Indigenous families living in South King County, Tacoma, and Seattle and learn directly from lived experiences.

What is shared in this space will help guide future community programming, partnerships, and culturally grounded spaces designed with
— not for — Indigenous families.

The insights from this session will inform how NAHEM and community partners approach community wellness, connection, and long-term Indigenous-led initiatives in urban areas.

This is a listening space where community voices help shape what comes next.
