The first time we met “Betty,” she definitely made an impression.

She was facing challenges, and as her situation worsened, she lost her home and car.

But then something clicked! ✨

She began taking steps toward a positive future, securing housing and counseling, and is now reuniting with her children.

Betty is on a new path, and we couldn’t be happier. Her story reminds us that compassion leads to progress, and that change is always possible. 💙

✂️ A Fresh Cut. A Fresh Start. ❤️

A huge thank you to Sacred Barbers for sharing their time and talents with our HART program!

Two volunteer barbers recently provided free haircuts to five of our unsheltered neighbors during our Thursday Shower Program, and the impact went far beyond a haircut. Seeing the smiles, renewed confidence, and sense of dignity that came with a fresh cut was truly joyful.

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Thank you, Sacred Barbers, for helping our neighbors feel seen, valued, and cared for.💙

Fair Oaks - we need your help. 💙 Our Midweek Meal Program is still searching for a home.

We’re looking for a small outdoor space in Fair Oaks - just about the size of 2 parking spots - where our team can set up tables, chairs, and serve meals to our neighbors in need.

🫶 But this program is more than a meal. It’s a place where our neighbors living in cars or facing homelessness connect with Community Health Workers - getting access to resources, support, and real pathways forward.

Last year, this program helped support 89 placements into housing and services. That kind of impact starts with simply having a place to gather.

It takes a village - and ours keeps growing. 💙

We’re excited to welcome a new cohort of Chamberlain University nursing students to our Thursday Shower Program!

Each week, they help provide wound care, compassion, and connection for our neighbors in need - alongside an incredible team of volunteers and Community Health Workers.

Thursdays | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Care looks different every month - but it always shows up. 💙

Our Thursday Shower Program continues to be a place of care, connection, and dignity for our unhoused neighbors.

🌸 April was full of steady, meaningful impact - showing up week after week with warm showers, hot meals, clean clothes, and a community that truly cares.

In April we provided 68 showers, 99 meals, and 144 volunteer hours

It may not always be one big moment - but it’s the consistency, the familiar faces, and the small acts of care that build trust and make a real difference!

Our neighbors are counting on us. We show up. 💙

Thank you to Clyde, veterinarian with Elica Health Centers, for the compassionate care he provides to pets belonging to our unhoused neighbors.

By caring for their animals, he helps support public health standards and assists local shelters by ensuring pets remain healthy and vaccinated. 🐾

We’re grateful for community partners like Elica Health Centers. Their dedication makes a meaningful difference for people and pets alike. 💙
