Chrismas looks different for each of us. We received this from one of our precious moms who is in a hotel. 

Merry Christmas to Elk Grove HART! I want to express my deepest gratitude for everything you have done for me and my family. During one of the hardest times of our lives, as we battled homelessness, your support, compassion, and dedication truly made a difference.

Thank you for helping place us in a better living situation and for making sure my children had a wonderful Christmas with all of the gifts they received. Your kindness brought so much joy and relief to our family during a very difficult season.

Thank you as well for the care, commitment, and love you show not only to my family, but to everyone you serve. Your work truly changes lives, and we are incredibly grateful.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and continued blessings.

We are thrilled that Elk Grove will soon be opening this beautiful seven bedroom house for seniors that are either homeless or at risk of being homeless. They are our most vulnerable citizens in need of care. We are so proud of the City Of Elk Grove and all of the hard work they have put in to making the Adamstown House a reality. 2026 will be a life changing year for these seniors.

Every morning, Johnathan laces up his new work boots — the same boots he received through a partnership between The Gathering Inn and Debbie from Elk Grove HART. They’re more than part of his uniform. They’re a symbol of the ground he’s worked so hard to stand on.

In just two months, Johnathan turned determination into direction. With the support of TGI’s Workforce Development Program, he refined his résumé, practiced for interviews, and landed full-time employment as a CNC Operator — a skilled, hands-on role in the manufacturing industry.

Those boots now carry him through 40+ hour workweeks, operating machinery that shapes raw materials into something strong, precise, and lasting — much like his own journey.

💜 Every time Johnathan steps into those boots, he steps into a future built on hard work, hope, and the promise of stability. 🎉🎉🎉

We are so hugely proud of this beautiful woman for graduating last night! Her husband died suddenly in September, but she continued with her schooling. Such a great example to her children and an inspiration to us.

Sending you our “HART-felt” thanks for your support
of this year’s Big Day of Giving!
Thanks to incredibly generous donations from more
than 67 donors from our EG HART community, we
raised $34,313 during the 24-hour Big Day of Giving
2025 – exceeding our goal by more than 10%!
Congratulations go out to Michael Ueltzen who won the
2-night stay in a two-bedroom villa at the Marriott
Grand Residence in South Lake Tahoe.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 7, 2026 when
EG HART will participate once again in the regional Big

When you think of the homeless in our community, what comes to mind? It's not just the adults that you see living on the streets. In Elk Grove Unified Schools, over 1,200 students identify as homeless. Some may be couch surfing, others may live in their cars, while still more are housed in temporary shelters.
Giving to Elk Grove HART can not only help the adults, but will help us provide for the students in our community that so badly need a place to call home.
