At our monthly meeting we surprised and celebrated our own Chris W, who “eloped” to Carson City, NV and married her Lou. Congratulations!

Three of our members attended the International Inner Wheel Convention in Manchester, UK. It was a fantastic 4 days mingling with 2300 women from 50 different countries. Opening and closing ceremonies exceptional, great business meetings, beautiful Thursday dinner in six different venues around town i.e. Cathedral. Friday Gala dinner with the theme of “The Roaring Twenties” and attendees dressed the part in flapper dresses. Most of the women were on their toes dancing to fabulous music.
Best of all were the friendships made!
Manila, Philippines will be hosting the next convention in 2027. See you there!

Orangevale and Carmichael were the hostesses for April IW District meeting. We had a British theme going, as (3) of our club members, and (11) from District 519, are going to the International Convention in Manchester UK. Please note our red/white/blue Convention attire complete with lovely scarves.
We sold “opportunity tickets” for many wonderful prizes and District made a nice profit.

We recently brought baby dolls to the Memory Care unit at Almond Heights, Orangevale CA. As you can tell, the dolls brought joy and smiles.

Rented a space at Orangevale Parks and Rec Parking Lot Sale and spent the morning selling Trash & Treasures. We made a nice amount of money. Plus we had fun and the company was great.

Good visit with Vi in Auburn. Brought pizza,salad,lemonade and brownies fora lovely lunch on the covered patio. Vi is a charter member of our club.

A successful Bake Sale in conjunction with Orangevale Rotary event. Lemon Bars, Brownies and Zucchini Bread were very popular.

Our Club again earned the Year of Achievement Award by fulfilling five of the six objectives. Well done, considering what a year it was! Presented by Inner Wheel USA president, Gill Broadaway.

This month’s outreach was assembling Teacher Appreciation bags for Mariposa School, Citrus Heights and Pershing Elem, Orangevale. The principals were quite surprised and grateful that we chose to show their teachers we care......plus we had a fun time planning, doing and delivering.
