๐๐ NATIONAL FENTANYL PREVENTION & AWARENESS DAY โ AUGUST 21, 2026 ๐๐
Today is about more than awareness. It is about education, prevention, compassion, and saving lives.
Fentanyl continues to affect families and communities across our country. Illicit fentanyl can be found in counterfeit pills and other drugs, often without the person knowing it is there. A single decision can have devastating consequences.
At B.U.D. โ Better Understanding Drugs**, our mission is to help change that through EDUCATION โข AWARENESS โข ACTION.
๐ Know the signs of an opioid overdose:
โข Unable to wake up or respond
โข Slow, shallow, or stopped breathing
โข Pinpoint pupils
โข Blue, gray, or purple lips or skin
โข Limp body or cold, clammy skin
๐ Know what to do:Call **911, administer Naloxone if available, and stay with the person until help arrives. Naloxone can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose and give someone another chance at life.
๐ซ NO RANDOM PILLS. Counterfeit pills can look like legitimate prescription medications but may contain illicit fentanyl. You cannot see, smell, or taste fentanyl.
B.U.D. works to educate youth, families, and our community, provide resources, and distribute FREE Naloxone because we believe knowledge gives people the power to make safer choices โ and being prepared can save a life.
Please help us today by sharing this post, talking with your children and loved ones, learning the signs of an overdose, and carrying Naloxone.
One conversation. One decision. One life.
CAN make a change. ๐๐
