First 5 Sacramento and Sacramento Parent Leadership Training Institute wants to shine a light on our very own Advisory Committee Chair, Maria Lopez. In addition to her work at the Advisory Committee and Equity in Action Committee, she has been busy partnering with the CA Department of Social Services on the development of a new publication “California Guidelines for Child Care In Home Settings”.

Maria, a family childcare home owner/educator, participated in the creation of this state-level document. She is quoted and pictured and her insights and wisdom are woven throughout.
