Latine physicians make up just 6.7% of active physicians in the U.S., making representation in medicine more important than ever.

CLYLP is proud to celebrate the many Latine doctors and medical professionals making a difference in our communities, especially those who are part of our CLYLP familia.

Tag or shout out a Latine physician in your life who deserves to be celebrated.

We’re proud to be part of KVCR Public Media's 3rd Annual Young Women’s Leadership Conference!

Our Program Coordinator, Evelin Castañeda, will be leading “Nuestra Voz, Nuestra Fuerza: Creating, Storytelling, & Amplifying Our Voices,” an Authentic Leadership workshop focused on the power of our stories and voices.

At CLYLP, we believe leadership starts with knowing who you are, embracing your voice, and understanding the impact you can make in your community. ¡Nuestra voz es nuestra fuerza! ✊🏽

We’re excited to share space, build community, and continue investing in the next generation of young women leaders.

Happy Latine Heritage Month!

This month, we celebrate the culture, histories, traditions, and contributions that make our communities vibrant and strong. At CLYLP, we know that our heritage is more than where we come from. It is a source of pride, connection, resilience, and inspiration for where we are going.

We are grateful for the students, alumni, volunteers, staff, families, and supporters who make up our CLYLP comunidad. You help us carry our stories forward while creating space for the next generation to find their voice, embrace their identity, and lead with purpose.

¡Que viva nuestra cultura y nuestra comunidad!

This month, we celebrate three years of our Executive Director, Dr. Luisa Ortega, leading the Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project!

Over the past three years, Luisa has poured her passion, dedication, and heart into CLYLP. She has helped strengthen our programs, expand opportunities for our students and alumni, build meaningful partnerships, and continue moving our mission forward.

Her leadership reminds us of the importance of creating spaces where our students feel seen, valued, and empowered to see themselves as California’s Future Leaders.

¡Felicidades, Dr. Ortega! Here’s to three years of liderazgo, impacto, and corazón, and to all that is still ahead.

We are so proud of our Avanzando to Success students who participated in this year's UNIDOS US x Experian Fund Your Future Competition! Our students created a platformed designed to educate the latino community on financial literacy and share easy-to-navigate resources to help break generational distrust in banks and safely build credit.

This was a rewarding experience as it was their first time at a national conference and sharing why financial literacy matters.

If you would like the opportunity to participate in events like these, apply to our Avanzando to Success Program! Applications close tonight. Link: https://forms.gle/urVuvRkLHPrMYxG97

Want to collab with CLYLP? We’re calling on our community!

As we plan our upcoming quarterly programming, we’re looking for alumni, community leaders, professionals, educators, creatives, and changemakers who want to share their knowledge, experiences, and corazón with our community.

Have a story, skill, or area of expertise you want to share? Bring it to CLYLP!

Whether it’s leadership, careers, cultura, community, personal growth, advocacy, or something you’re passionate about—we want to create spaces where we can learn, connect, grow, and continue building community together.
