Our 44th Annual CLYLP Statewide Leadership Conference is almost here!

This year's theme, Inspiring Hope, Ánimo, and Agency: Embracing Changing Times, reflects the moment we're living in. As our students navigate a rapidly changing world, we remain committed to providing a space where they are seen, celebrated, challenged, and empowered.

Throughout the week, students from across California will build lifelong community, learn from changemakers, strengthen their leadership skills, and embrace the power of their voices. They will leave with memories, confidence, knowledge, and agency to lead in their schools, campuses, careers, and communities.

For 44 years, CLYLP has believed in one thing: when young people are rooted in their culture, connected to their community, and empowered to lead, they can transform California's future.

Here's to a week filled with hope, ánimo, and the leaders our communities have been waiting for.

We're excited to join the Mujeres Activas en Letras y Cambio Social (MALCS) Conference to share the work that has guided CLYLP for more than four decades.

Our presentation highlights how culturally affirming youth leadership programs help Chicana and Latina students embrace who they are, strengthen their sense of belonging, and recognize their power to create change.

We're grateful to be in community with scholars, educators, students, and activists who continue advancing knowledge, justice, and opportunity.

Our Los Angeles Institute was a HUGE success! We had high energy, great workshops, and empowering speakers. Our students had the privilege of meeting Senator Maria Elena Durazo (María Elena Durazo) and hearing a few words of encouragement.

We also would like to say thank you to Cal State LA’s Vice President Patrick Day, for welcoming our students and making them feel excited to pursue higher education!

Our Host Committee is helping make the 44th Annual CLYLP Gala a success!

On July 24, CLYLP will gather to celebrate our students, honorees, alumni, volunteers, and the powerful community that makes this work possible. We are deeply grateful to our 44th Annual Gala Host Committee for stepping forward with generosity, leadership, and commitment to help raise critical funds for California’s Future Leaders.

Their outreach and support will help ensure this year’s Gala is not only a beautiful celebration, but also a meaningful investment in the students we serve across California. Every sponsorship, donation, and connection they help make strengthens CLYLP’s ability to provide young people with opportunities to discover their voice, build leadership, celebrate their cultura, and pursue a future filled with possibility.
