The City of Sacramento’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development is inviting local Sacramento businesses to apply for the Economic Gardening program starting March 9.

Economic Gardening is a research-driven growth program for established companies. Selected businesses receive 40 hours of customized market research and business analysis, followed by up to $50,000 in potential matching grant funds.

Eligibility requirements:
· For profit business based in city of Sacramento
· Approximately $1 million to $50 million in annual revenue
· Five to 99 employees
· Planning for growth by expanding to new markets, growing operations or staff, and pursuing major contracts or partnerships

We are excited to announce the opening of a new small business on Mack Road! Pretty Little Treasures Thrift Store invites you to their GRAND OPENING on Saturday, January 24th, at 4572 Mack Rd. The doors open at 11:30 AM, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12 noon. Owner Ms. Sameerah says, "This opening is meaningful because Pretty Little Treasures is the first Black-owned business in this shopping strip, and we are proud to be part of the Mack Road corridor. Our grand opening will include music, free food, giveaways, a bounce house for children, and a community celebration. We would be honored to connect with the Mack Road Partnership and explore opportunities to participate in community initiatives and events."
