Today, we're celebrating the power of community.

We are beyond grateful to receive a $30,453.28 gift from Thunder Valley Casino Resort through its Comedy for a Cause event. This incredible act of generosity sends a powerful message: our girls matter, and their futures are worth investing in.

Because of this support, more girls from Lincoln to Galt, Davis to Placerville, and everywhere in between will have the opportunity to participate in Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento. Through our fun, engaging, and empowering programs, girls build confidence, form meaningful connections with their peers and caring mentor coaches, and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

What a day! ⛳️💙

Our Tee for Her Future Golf Tournament was so much more than a day on the course. It was a wonderful day of giving back, community, new friendships, new connections, beautiful weather, and incredible generosity — all in support of helping girls build confidence and reach their full potential.

We’re still tallying the final numbers, but one thing is already clear: Friday was a difference-maker! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who sponsored, played, volunteered, donated, cheered us on, and helped make the day so special. 🎉

There are girls at Alder Creek Elementary (Folsom) and Phoebe Hearst Elementary (Sacramento) who are ready to find their confidence, build meaningful connections, and discover just how strong they really are.

They just need you to show up.

We’re looking for coaches to help bring Girls on the Run to these two schools this fall season. You don’t have to be a runner. You don’t have to be a teacher. You don't need prior coaching experience. You just need a willingness to encourage, listen, laugh, and believe in girls.

Because sometimes, making a difference starts with simply choosing to be there.
