PASSIONIST PILGRIMAGE & RETREAT IN ITALY 2027
A Journey Toward the Heart of Christ Crucified

Some journeys take us to new places.
A pilgrimage can take us deeper into the heart of God.

From May 1–14, 2027, we will journey through Italy in prayer, faith, community, and Passionist spirituality.
This is more than sightseeing. It is an invitation to walk, pray, listen, encounter the saints, and rediscover Christ along the way.
Our pilgrimage will culminate in a special Passionist Retreat at the Sanctuary/Monastery of St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows.

Durante 14 días recorreremos Italia siguiendo un camino de fe, oración y espiritualidad pasionista: Roma, Monte Argentario, Lucca, Florencia, Padua, Venecia, San Marino, Asís, Orvieto, Cascia, Loreto y el Santuario de San Gabriel de la Dolorosa.

No queremos simplemente visitar lugares santos. Queremos detenernos, orar, escuchar y permitir que Dios hable al corazón.

They need a safe place to share their story.
They need someone willing to remain beside them as they discover where God may be present in what they are living.

The Passionist Spiritual Accompaniment Program — PAEP offers human, spiritual, theological, and pastoral formation for those called to accompany others through listening, discernment, compassion, and hope.
Year 1 and Year 2 begin on September 26, 2026.

PASSIONIST FAMILY PRESENT AT THE DIOCESAN CONVOCATORIA — UNITED IN FAITH, HOPE & MISSION

With grateful hearts, the Passionist Family was blessed to be present and participate in the Diocese of Sacramento’s "Convocatoria al Ministerio Hispano" at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Gathered with Bishop Jaime Soto, Timothy Matovina, Ph.D., of the University of Notre Dame, and brothers and sisters in ministry from throughout our Diocese, we reflected on "Our Lady of Guadalupe — Hope of the Americas" and her enduring call to encounter, accompaniment, evangelization, and hope. ([Diócesis de Sacramento][1])

As Passionists, we receive this experience with renewed gratitude and mission.

The Memoria Passionis calls us to remain close to the crucified of today, to listen to the voices of our communities, and to carry the compassionate love of Christ wherever hope is needed.

Our Lady of Guadalupe continues to remind us: "God draws near to His people."

Thank you to Bishop Soto, Dr. Matovina, the Diocese of Sacramento, and everyone who made this beautiful gathering of faith and formation possible.

LA FAMILIA PASIONISTA PRESENTE EN LA CONVOCATORIA DIOCESANA — UNIDOS EN LA FE, LA ESPERANZA Y LA MISIÓN

Con profunda alegría y gratitud, la "Familia Pasionista" tuvo la bendición de estar presente y participar en la "Convocatoria al Ministerio Hispano" de la Diócesis de Sacramento, celebrada en el Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

Junto al Obispo Jaime Soto, Timothy Matovina, Ph.D., de la Universidad de Notre Dame, y hermanos y hermanas de diferentes ministerios de nuestra Diócesis, reflexionamos en torno a "Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe — Esperanza de las Américas" y su llamado siempre actual al encuentro, acompañamiento, evangelización y esperanza. Como Pasionistas, recibimos esta experiencia con el corazón renovado y con un compromiso aún mayor con nuestra misión.

La Memoria Passionis nos llama a permanecer cerca de los crucificados de hoy, escuchar las voces de nuestras comunidades y llevar el amor compasivo de Cristo allí donde más se necesita la esperanza.

Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe continúa recordándonos algo profundamente hermoso: "Dios se acerca a su pueblo."

SPIRITUAL DIRECTION - YOU DON’T HAVE TO WALK ALONE

Sometimes the spiritual journey becomes difficult to understand.
Where is God in this season of my life?
What is stirring within my heart?
How do I discern the next step?
How can I deepen my relationship with God?

Spiritual Direction is a sacred space to listen.

It is not about someone giving you all the answers. It is a prayerful relationship that helps you become more attentive to God’s presence and movement within your life.

A Spiritual Director listens with you, accompanies you, and helps you notice where God may already be speaking.
You bring your story.
Your questions.
Your prayer.
Your hopes.
Even your silence.

And together, you listen for God.
"You don’t have to walk your spiritual journey alone."

DIRECCIÓN ESPIRITUAL - NO TIENES QUE CAMINAR SOLO

Hay momentos en los que nuestro camino espiritual se vuelve difícil de comprender.
¿Dónde está Dios en esta etapa de mi vida?
