I trademarked my business and logo 5 years ago. After 5 years it's time to pay maintenance fees to keep your federal trademark active. ($325.00) I experienced a person who tried to use my business name & logo in 2021, it was shocking, a YT woman was in the photos posted under my logo & business name. I had contacted FB Legal Dept. to file a complaint, show PROOF that I owned the TRADEMARK & LOGO by forwarding them the Legal Document from the UNITED STATE PATENT & TRADEMARK OFFICE with the registeration number. After that experience I felt I did the correct thing to trademark legally.
