We are down to our last 4 shows of the season. If you are still needing shows to qualify for state (you need 5) or for R4 year end awards (you need 9) this weekend would be a great time to get 2 more qualifying shows. Our last 2 shows of the season will be September 5 & 6 at the Clements Rodeo grounds.
Not only are we going to have a great time this weekend with all the extra "Fun" stuff we have planned, but the weather is suppose to cool down.
Hopefully you have heard by now and have convinced your husband, significant other or son to compete in our Men's only barrel race Saturday evening. The race will start approximately one hour after we have handed out our daily awards. The fee is $20 per rider combination. We will awarding trophies for 1D (fastest time); 2D (.5 off 1D) and 3D (1.0 off 2D) winners. Depending on the number of entries, cash may also be awarded. The only stipulation is they can not ride a horse they are currently rated on in CSHA. They will need to use a different horse. This should be an absolute hoot of a time so come out, encourage them and see if they can ride your horse faster then you (since they always seem to critique our runs EmojiEmojiEmoji).
There is no dress code for the Men's Race (other then jeans, boots and a helmet if under age 18). They don't have to be a Region 4 or CSHA member to come compete. Entries will close 30 minutes prior to start of race.

After the Men's Race we will have a fun event that anyone may participate - - - Shot Race.
You will need to ride a horse to the obstacle, get off and consume a shot of a non-alcoholic beverage or jello, get back on and cross the timing line. You may enter as many times as you'd like but only one time per horse, you can ride multiple horses, including your own. Fastest time wins a trophy as well as a $25 gift card. Depending on the number of entries, we may award cash to 2nd and 3rd place too.
There's no dress code other then you must wear boots, jeans and helmet (if under 18 years old).

All proceeds collected from the Men's Race and Shot Race will be used for a pizza dinner @ state finals (night to be determined).
Now to our regular show information.....
You must pre-enter by Thursday, August 13 @ 8:00 p.m. to avoid a $10 late fee, per day. You can ride one or both days. Each day is a separate show with high point and reserve high point in each division, including open. If you ride both days, you will automatically qualify for an overall award at no extra cost. High point will be a pull wagon and reserve will be a braided mule halter and leadrope for each division, including open.
There is also a mandatory snack bar fee of $10 per day per rider. You will be given snack bar coupons to be used at the snack bar.

If you plan to overnight it, you may come in Friday anytime. There are plenty of RV hookups and stalls so no reservations are needed. They are on a first come, first serve basis. RV hookups are $25 per night; covered stalls are $25 per night per horse and uncovered stalls are $20 per night per horse. NO portable panels are allowed. Payment will be made to Shane, owner of Diamond Bar.
