Rotary has many youth programs and we are committed to ensuring a safe environment for all students and the adults who work with them.

This Wednesday, September 9, at 12:00 noon, Past District Governor Steve Turner will join us to provide an update on Rotary guidelines and procedures for Rotarians who work with youth.

Then, our own member and Past District Governor Bob Deering will address a question we are often asked.....What does it mean to be a Rotarian?

There is no better way to get the insights and understanding of all that Rotary is and offers to you as well as to our communities, both local and global, to create lasting positive impact for all.

Join us at 12 Noon at the Masonic Lodge, 3010 Becerra Way, Sacramento (between Marconi and Robertson Aves). Lunch is served and we will wrap up at 1:15 pm.

Ever heard of Flights to Freedom? No?

Well, here's your chance to learn about the incredible service offered by this organization --

"Provide safe, expedient, private air transportation for victims of child s*x trafficking, human exploitation and their support groups."

Our Rotary District has been a leader in educating and building awareness in our community about human trafficking.

Here is an opportunity to learn more and see how nonprofits and others come together to help survivors.

Join us this Wednesday, September 2, 6:00 pm, to hear Ken Lux, from Flight to Freedom, share this remarkable service.

District Governor Dave Veden helps us welcome our new member, Brad, and recognize Paul Harris Fellows, Tracy and Darrin, Mark, Colin and major donors, Tim and Sue! Congratulations!!

When our District Governor comes to visit, it is a perfect time to recognize new members as well as those members who have joined the ranks of being a Paul Harris Fellow (meaning, supporting The Rotary Foundation with $1000 gift).

This month, when DG Dave Veden came to visit, we had a chance to welcome our newest member, Brad (in the burgundy shirt). So glad Brad has joined our club.

And, to have DG Dave help us recognize Paul Harris Fellows Tracy and Darrin, Mark, Colin, and major donors, Tim and Sue. Congratulations to each one and thank you for your outstanding support of Rotary's work!

Join us on Wednesday, 12:00 noon, for a special training meeting on how to use the new platform for Rotarians called NOVA.

Tim Hayes, our member and current Assistant Governor for District 5180, will be showing us the basic elements of the new platform and how to use it to stay connected and get all the info you need as a Rotarian.

We have a tradition at our club that each year, as the new District Governor comes to speak about his or her vision and goals for their year, we give them a Stetson!!

Trying to keep it a "secret" is near impossible (yes, too many Stetsons have been given out to too many District Governors -😁).

Here's District Governor Dave Veden unpacking and trying his on at our meeting the past week!!

Congratulations, DG Dave!! You've now joined the handful of humans who can proudly wear their Stetson from our club!!

We had a great meeting this past Wednesday!

Got to give out 2 Paul Harris awards to Darren and Tracy.

Then, Jamie gave us insights on how Rotary clubs can move into the future and attract younger people who share our commitment to service and business networking.
