A bespoke structured programme designed to equip professionals for overseas market success

The Overseas Transition Support (OTS) is an end-to-end programme intended to support professionals going from SG overseas, or from overseas to SG. They have in-person and virtual workshops and activities aimed to help make the overseas transition (both ways) a success, for Singaporeans and Singapore PRs.

As part of this effort, the SGLN OTS team is introducing a virtual onboarding pathway for individuals who have recently relocated or are already based overseas, enabling them to connect with the OTS community ahead of participating in in-person offerings. It is available to Singaporeans and Singapore PRs intending to work overseas as well as those who have already secured their overseas roles with their companies.

We are happy to share a chat SingaporeConnect President Mark Sin had with Frances Tan, whom he got to meet when looking for performers for the Singapore Festival in 2025. Her songwriting journey continues in 2026, where he caught up with her in Singapore recently. In their meet, she shared about how she went from law to songwriting, how it’s been sharing her passion to schoolchildren, and what’s next. Her first album debuts 31 May, 2026.

Delighted to support the dreams of her and other Singaporeans. Watch to get free tickets for the debut concert, dinner included:

Most small businesses in ASEAN can't get loans — not because they're risky, but because banks need property as collateral and the economy has moved past that. Singapore has PayNow and SGTraDex. Thailand has PromptPay. India has UPI. These systems already verify that businesses are real and that money flows. What's missing is the layer that turns that verified trade data into something investors can finance — like how Grab turned GPS data into a transport system, but for credit.

This working lunch brings together people who can build that layer: fintech operators, trade finance practitioners, DPI architects, AI researchers, and policy thinkers. It's 45 seats, hands-on, and you'll use AI prompts to stress-test the architecture from your own professional angle.

Building ASEAN's Financing Layer for MSMEs

MSMEs are 97% of ASEAN enterprises — yet most can't access credit because the financial system still demands physical collateral in an intangible economy.

The infrastructure to fix this exists: PromptPay, UPI, PayNow, SGTraDex. What's missing is the regional layer that turns verified trade data into investable assets.

Join SingaporeConnect for a working lunch on the Open Finance Utility — a proposed shared infrastructure connecting ASEAN's DPI stacks into a securitisation pathway with open AI governance standards.

For trade finance practitioners, fintech founders, DPI architects, AI researchers, and policy thinkers.

Come ready to engage — not listen.

The AI Roadmap: From Blueprint to Innovation Lighthouse
Around 150 attended the Asia Tech x Community (ATxCommunity) on March 13, 2026. The first ever in Silicon Valley, ATxCommunity served as an extension of the Asia Tech x Summit (ATxSummit), a premier annual event held by the Infocomm Media Development Authority in Singapore. ATxCommunity builds on IMDA's partnership with SingaporeConnect, following events such as the AI Governance Workshop. Over the evening, we convened a discussion around the topic of Digital Public Utilities and highlighted opportunities for collaboration between Silicon Valley and Southeast Asia, where insights from the Valley can contribute directly to a trusted, vibrant and globalised digital future.
