Yesterday, the West Sacramento Foundation received a $5,000 grant from the Teichert Foundation, and Allegra Pickett, Grants Manager, delivered it in person! The grant will help create opportunities for more paid internships in the trades for West Sacramento high school students - thank you, Teichert Foundation!

The West Sacramento Foundation mourns the loss of Barry Kalar, who gave so much of his time, energy, and leadership to our community, serving on our board, the board of the West Sacramento Education Foundation, as a long standing West Sacramento Rotarian, and through his service as West Sacramento's first police chief. His dedication to this community and to public service will never be forgotten.

What an amazing evening at La Ciudad/MX City Urban Market Place! We kicked off our 2026 Big Day of Giving campaign while eating delicious small bites, drinking tasty cocktails and La Cosecha brews while having lively conversations about our vibrant West Sacramento and investing in our youth! Thank you to Ernesto Delgado and his amazing team, to everyone who came and to our incredible donors!
