Read our new blog proposing a strategic shift in California’s climate agenda, from a regulation-centric approach to a more inclusive approach that delivers greater climate resilience and economic prosperity along with GHG emissions reduction. The shift acknowledge the state’s successes over the last 20 years--and of the political and economic challenges the state must tackle as it addresses climate change in the coming years. RLF's interim president Matt Armsby co-authored the piece with a team of policy leaders who have deep experience in developing and implementing statewide climate policy. RLF first convened them last November to discuss how we might help meet the challenges that became apparent after the election. Since then, we spoke with dozens of experts, advocates, and funders about California’s needs and opportunities, and we briefed a cohort of climate and economic development funders on our analysis and recommendations last week.
