Governor Gavin Newsom has officially signed ARCA’s sponsored bill, AB2324, into law, setting in motion the state’s high school career pathway for direct support professionals. This represents a significant change in how California supports “youth caregivers' for family members who have disabilities, chronic illness, or are aging. The bill was unanimously approved in the Assembly committees and is headed to the Senate Education Committee on June 17.
