❗️KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: We often remind folks to notify someone if their rights have been violated as a worker. The term for this is "whistleblower", which comes with its own set of protections in various situations.

📢 You may choose to act as a whistleblower if you are made aware of:

1. A violation of a state or federal statute
2. A violation or noncompliance with a local, state or federal rule or regulation
3. With reference to employee safety or health, unsafe working conditions or work practices

A whistleblower may bring their concern to

🏛 a government or law enforcement agency
📋 a person in authority within the workplace
🖋another employee that has authority to investigate or correct the issue
🏢 a public body in the midst of an investigation
