Week 1 — Out of the ground

Sitework & Earthwork — clear/grub, cut & fill, site utilities, paving, grading
Concrete & Foundations — footings, foundation, slab-on-grade, rebar, formwork
Framing (wood / light-gauge, whichever the proto calls) — bearing walls, floors, trusses

Week 2 — Dried in
4. Thermal & Moisture — roofing, waterproofing, insulation, exterior cladding
5. Doors / Frames / Hardware / Windows & Storefront — guest room door-per-key math, lobby storefront
6. Plumbing — under slab rough, risers, fixtures per room count

Week 3 — Systems
7. HVAC / Mechanical — PTAC-per-room, RTUs, corridor systems, ductwork
8. Electrical — service, panels, branch wiring, fixtures, the room-count multiplier
9. Fire Sprinkler + Fire Alarm + Low Voltage — heads/devices per SF and per room

Week 4 — Finishes & closing the bid
10. Drywall, Paint & Finishes — the big repetitive quantities (GWB, ACT, flooring, tile, FRP)
11. Specialties / Equipment / FF&E / Elevator — signage, casework, furnishings, vertical transport
12. Assembling the Bid (capstone) — general conditions, GC markup, O&P, bonds & insurance, contingency, then a full bid review

Why Did the United States Vote Against Calling African Slavery the Gravest Crime Against Humanity?

On March 25, 2026, the United Nations General Assembly voted to declare the transatlantic trafficking and racialized chattel enslavement of Africans “the gravest crime against humanity.”

The vote was 123 in favor, 3 against, and 52 abstentions.

The three countries voting against it were:

🇺🇸 United States
🇮🇱 Israel
🇦🇷 Argentina
