The Senior and Family Services grant was created to aid nonprofits providing crucial services to seniors and families in need of resources. One of the organizations that received the grant this year was Chicks in Crisis!
Funding from the Senior and Family Services grant supported the Racing for Babies initiative, which provided critical resources and support to at-risk families in the community.
🍼 Chicks in Crisis distributed baby supplies to 6,885 families through the Racing for Babies initiative, providing 79,870 diapers, 2,200 cans of formula, over 85,000 clothing items, and 90,000 wipes. Additionally, they distributed strollers, swings, toys, and educational materials.
⛑️ Chicks in Crisis also made Emergency Assistance Referrals, connecting families to housing, medical resources, and job services. Through the effort, they supported 629 families, and 97 people graduated from the program.
❤️ Through the Racing for Babies initiative, Chicks in Crisis assisted 1,800 families with financial assistance for food, gas, childcare, and job referrals. They also opened a Food pantry.
In all, through support from the Senior and Family Services Grant, Chicks in Crisis reduced financial strain; improved infant care; strengthened stability, self-sufficiency, and overall well-being; provided access to education, childcare, and employment resources for families in our community.
