Told to go play outside while the house gets cleaned 🧹

So they did. ☀️

Ten macaws — seven Blue and Golds, two Blue-Throated, and one Scarlet — taking morning recess very seriously while the housekeeping happened indoors. Fun and happy in the morning sun, exactly as instructed.

Some households send the kids out to play. Ours just has more feathers.

☀️ I think I'll go for a walk outside now...

Stymie clearly got the memo about sunshine days. Here's our Eleonora Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo perched in the blooming mimosa tree, pink silk blossoms for company, summer sun callin' his name. 🌸

He found one of the prettiests seat on the property — and he knows it.

🦅 Sr. Jefe, our Andean Condor, is turning forty. 🦅

He hatched on June 9, 1986, and came to us in February 1993. This September marks his fortieth year — and he still opens a ten-foot wingspan every single day.

We're marking it on International Vulture Awareness Day, Saturday, September 5th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Joining him: our two King Vultures, King Solomon and Elvis the King, whose orange, violet and crimson faces look painted rather than hatched.

Vultures have a reputation problem, and it isn't deserved. Come find out why the world would be a far more dangerous place without them. ☀️

💛 Thank you for being a friend.💛

Our Andean Condor, visiting his friend at the dolphin pool at SeaWorld Orlando. Nobody taught them this — they simply found each other: a condor and a dolphin, meeting at the water's edge like old neighbors over a fence.

Friendship doesn't check species. It never has.

This photo is from a time we cherish deeply, and with a heart overflowing we're sending love to everyone we worked with. It was magical!

🦢🕺 Someone is sooo happy!

Meet Apollo, our Demoiselle Crane, caught mid-celebration. Cranes are among the natural world's great dancers — they leap, bow, spin, and throw their wings wide not only for courtship, but for play, for bonding, and by every appearance, for the sheer joy of it.

Apollo dances most mornings (and evenings). This time we had the camera ready.

🦕 Team Meeting — attendance mandatory, dress code: feathers. 🦜

Caught on The Divide: Cassanova, our CEO (Cassowary Executive Officer, as he'll remind you), taking a meeting with one of our Blue and Gold Macaws. Agenda unknown. Minutes were not taken. The view from the conference room, however, speaks for itself.
