A VERY IMPORTANT READ ⤵️

One of our diligent fosters, Wendy, noticed a strange w**d in her hay and stopped feeding it immediately. Another one of our diligent, hay-obsessed fosters, Sue, went down a rabbit hole (pun intended) straight to the National Hay Association to ask about this alienesque w**d. What Sue learned is certainly worth sharing. The w**d Wendy found was Foxtail and is VERY dangerous to bunnies. It contains razor-sharp barbs which can cause multiple painful punctures, infections, and even death if a rabbit eats it. Farmers do take measures to prevent Foxtail from making it into our pets' feed, but make sure you are able to identify and catch this very dangerous w**d before your bunnies do.

Pierre is a young, playful, active boy who needs a large space to play and explore. He has excellent litter box habits. He enjoys cheek rubs, nose scratches, and will stand up on his back feet to beg for healthy treats! We think Pierre will do better in a quiet home that doesn't have small children.

Sorry, Orange 🤭!

For those of you that don't know, Orange was born with 6 other siblings & they all looked the same. To be able to tell them apart, the vet made little marks on their ears with various sharpie colors.

Tomorrow is Adoption Day & as always, we offer grooming & nail trimming services for your bunnies with a $10 donation! But we're adding something new! In addition to our grooming service, we are also throwing in some homemade rabbit cookies! There is a limited amount available, so try to come early!

*All bunnies brought to us for grooming must come with proof of vaccination*

Today is a day full of celebration with family & friends, but don't forget about your furry companions. Here are some tips to help destress your pet, not just your bun:

🐰 Soundproof your home by closing windows & doors to muffle outside noises.
🐰 Draw curtains & blinds to keep the outside flashing lights from comjng inside.
🐰 Turn on soft music or a TV at a low volume to drown out noises.
🐰 Provide easily accessible hiding spots so they have a place they can feel safe.
🐰 Give your pet some space. Check on them, of course. But constant fussing & handling can cause more unnecessary stress.

We hope these tips help make this holiday more enjoyable & we wish you all a happy & safe 4th of July 🇺🇲!
