OUR MEETING REMINDER FOR
AUGUST 21, 2026 AT 7:30 PM
·
Dear Members,
Posting this as a reminder that our next meeting will be Friday, AUGUST 21, 2026 at 7:30 PM.
This will be a sharing meeting. We can talk about whatever subjects you would like to share with us.
What has been on our mind? How are you getting through the days?
I am sharing some poems. If you have poems or stories you would like to share, your submissions are welcome. Many grieving people find writing poetry or stories helpful. Maybe on occasion of your loved one's birthday? We used to do that in our newsletters. If anyone has skills to compose a newletter and would like to volunteer, please email our chapter.

POETRY CORNER

Grief comes in and out like waves
from the ocean. Sometimes when you least
expect it, a huge wave comes along and
pulls your feet right out from under you.
Alan Wolfeit
Understanding Your Grief

If grief, nothing "stays put" One keeps
emerging from a phase, but it always recurs.
Am I going in circles, or dare I hope I'm on
a spriral? But if a spiral,
am I going up or down it?

C.S. Lewis

Our next grief webinar "Finding Peace After Loss" will be held on July 29th at 12:00 pm EDT. In this webinar, Rob Goor will cover what peace of mind is…and what it isn’t. For most of his life, he was mistaken about peace. Rob thought peace of mind was an absence, but has since learned that it is really a presence. We will discuss the life decisions and changes that can lead to peace of mind…and to a fuller, more meaningful life.
