Our wonderful member Eras passed away yesterday. She was 100 years old, and her life was a real inspiration to all of us. She was an actress, a composer, a playwright, and a drama teacher. Eras (Erasmia) was the daughter of Greek immigrants and had inherited the love and talent for music that many Greeks are known for. She was optimistic, always smiling, and always welcoming. For the last four years, she was taken care of by her beloved helper, Joanna. Eras always asked Joanna to photograph her. Today, Joanna kindly agreed to share those pictures with us. Let us remember Eras smiling and happy. A Celebration of Life for Eras will be held at St. George’s on May 16 at 2:30 pm.
