VFW Post 10125 will be in the parade this 4th of July, and we want to see you there.

The float is decorated, roads prepped to close, and we are ready to represent our post and our veterans with pride.

Come out and show your support. Bring the family. Wave a flag. Cheer for the veterans who made this day possible.

Remember Everyone Deployed.

Somewhere right now, an American service member is standing the watch. Far from home. Far from family. Far from the life the rest of us are living today.

They don't get a long weekend. They don't get a barbecue. They don't get to sleep in.

They get the mission.

So today, we wear red. Not because it looks good. Because it is a promise. A visible reminder that they are not forgotten.

Wear red. Post red. Keep them in your thoughts.

Established in 1947, our Voice of Democracy audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay.

$35,000 national first place scholarship

Nearly $1.6 million in scholarships awarded annually

2026-27 theme: "What a Veteran Taught Me About America"

Patriot's Pen (Grades 6-8)
Each year, more than 800,600 students enter the Patriot's Pen annual youth essay contest.

$5,000 national first place prize

Minimum $500 for each state winner

You raised your hand. You took the oath. You raised your hand. You took the oath. Yo served.

Your uniform may be folded. Your boots may be retired. But the mission isn't over.

VFW Post 10125 is looking for the next generation of veterans to join our ranks.

Why join?

Camaraderie – Connect with veterans who get it. No explanation needed.

Know a great teacher? Nominate them for Teacher of the Year.

Without our nation's veterans, America wouldn't be the great nation it is today. Our youth deserve to learn about our rich history, traditions, and the role of our veterans in creating and shaping America.

Each year, the Veterans of Foreign Wars selects elementary, middle, and high school teachers to participate in the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher program.

Who can be nominated?
Any K-12 teacher who brings American history, civic education, and patriotism into their classroom.

Deadline: October 31.

We have been decorating the float, getting the flags ready, and preparing to represent our post and our veterans with pride.
