Just to give you an idea of some of the things that we accomplished.This is the number of quilts that we did for 2025. This is only the quilts that were made, it doesn't include the many other things that we do. Fallen officers; 7 quilts, Shriners Children's Hospital; 29 quilts, Love My Life; 49 quilts, chick's In Crisis; 27 quilts, United Methodist Church; 11 quilts, Elk Grove School foster kids program; 25 quilts, Mercy Palliative Care; 34 quilts, Ronald McDonald House; 58 quilts, Sutter Hospital; 35 quilts, River Oaks; 38 quilts, Sutter Hospice House; 4 quilts, Chaplains of Elk Grove; 10 quilts. Our machines were smokin. 🧵🪡

Stitching With Heart, cutting batting for quilts and sewing some of the kits that Nancy works so hard on putting together for us. We have a lot of talented hardworking ladies in this group. Thank you to each and every one of you that puts so much time and energy into all of the wonderful projects that we create.

We had a wonderful surprise today - our wonderful Elk Grove Mayor stopped by our quilting group! It was such a pleasure chatting with and showing off our latest charity projects and quilts to Mayor Bobbie Singh-Allen. Thank you for taking the time our of your busy schedule to visit us!

On May 9th, this amazing group got together to organize items that we donate to different charities. We donated the following; 128 quilts, 23 hygiene bags, 47 bibs, 3 market bags, 29 walker bags, 66 comfort pillows, 14 receiving blankets, 126 pillow cases, 115, burp cloths and 47 book bags! Whew!! We have been a very busy group. Donations and helpers are always appreciated. Not only are we giving back, but we have a lot of fun.

Our last meeting in 2024 consisted of a Christmas celebration 🎅 and a visit from Kowjuana Ross-Kirkland of "Love My Life". She shared the comfort and security that our quilts have on some of the children that receive them. She is an amazing woman that has a heart of gold. We are blessed to be able to be a part of her efforts to give to others in need. We plan to continue our efforts in 2025. Happy new year to everyone. ❤️

We meet the second and fourth Friday of the month at Elk Grove United Methodist Church. If you have the desire to give back, please consider joining us. We sew at the meetings and we sew at home. There is something for everyone....and plus, we are a lot of fun. 🥰
