Recap of day 1 from our 2025 fall meeting in Pismo Beach, CA.

The day started off with a keynote address from Adam Nickels, Acting Regional Director for the California-Great Basin for the US Bureau of Reclamation. We had gained a good understanding on the future of CA water infrastructure and a great feedback with questions from our members. After our general meeting, members participated in an industry tour at Andros Engineering where we toured their drip equipment manufacturing facilities. We saw how their equipment was built, some new ideas, and an in depth look at the full scope of their ag plastics recycling programs.

We ended the day with our reception where members got to wind down and talk about other topics outside of irrigation… well maybe not, but it was quite the view.

Looking forward to a great day 2 with our technical sessions and highly anticipated panels this afternoon!
