Powai lake and Vihar Lake origin of Mithi river and it's stretch visited ...course of river changed at several places by constructing retaining wall. Builders lobby are the main beneficiary...Do we really need such constructions. Environmental and ecological flow of river is completely affected and dried at many places. All drainage is being poured through the pores in the retaintion wall, is common sight throughout the stretch . . Mumbaikars need to come forward in large numbers to save this Aarey green lungs

Rampant Tree felling, wall construction and drainage release in Mithi river at metro car shed proposed area...has completely affected ecological flow of Mithi river and other streams inside Aarey colony in Goregaon in Mumbai ..Do we really need Metro at this cost

Kumbhari river tributary of Bhatsa flowing in Borivali and Padgha village in Thane District is encroached by warehouses and others and neglecting it borewells have been dug for jal jeevan mission. Hence started campaign to do complete mapping of the river for its rejuvenation and initiated move to collaborate with grampanchayat for corrective actions such as desiltation and bandhara formation, and helping to encourage reestablishment of agricultural practices, mainly organic farming in the region for ground water improvement and livelihood
