Stephon House Burglarized.

Statement from the Clark Family
Sacramento, CA – August 7, 2024 – On or around the early hours of August 7, 2024, Stephon’s House was burglarized for the 1st time in over 4 years. The building sustained a great deal of physical damages. The vandals stole property from inside valued at thousands of dollars.
The Clark family is devastated by this loss. Stephon’s House was built off the life and legacy of our dear brother, Stephon Clark, who was murdered in his grandmother’s backyard by Sacramento Police Officers on March 18, 2018. This resource center has provided hundreds of families with a safe place to gather resources on housing, building a business, education, mutual aide, food, clothing, and shelter. The center is often a place where community members from all walks can commence in the name of solidarity and community building.
With Stephon’s birthday being just a few days away August 10th. We are saddened to discover the destruction of the building that we’ve worked so hard to create. We are more heartbroken over the property theft.
We are asking if anyone has any information leading to the return of our property to come forward.
In order for us to rebuild we need the community’s help.
