Today was a special day as we installed the 2026-2027 Board of Directors of Soroptimist International of Sacramento and celebrated the beginning of a new club year.

As I concluded my term as President, I was deeply honored to receive my Past President’s Pin, presented by my friend and sponsor, Nancy Wolford Landers. Nancy has been a mentor, supporter, and inspiration to so many of us, making this moment especially meaningful.

A few snapshots from this weekend’s Sierra Nevada Region 50th Anniversary Conference at the Atlantis. 💙✨

So many amazing women, leaders, clubs, awards, laughs, hugs, and special moments all packed into one weekend. It was really beautiful seeing everyone come together to celebrate the work Soroptimists do throughout our region.

Fun fact… our reel won 2nd place in the conference reel contest and we were pretty excited about that. 😁🎉

One of the most meaningful parts of the weekend was honoring Pat Canterbury during the morning memorial service. Pat truly loved Soroptimist and she was such a special light to so many of us.

Still soaking it all in. What a great way to celebrate 50 years of service and friendship.

This weekend we had the privilege of attending the 50th Anniversary Sierra Nevada Region Soroptimist Conference at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, surrounded by some of the most inspiring women and leaders we know.

It was a beautiful celebration honoring the incredible work of our Soroptimist clubs, recognizing dedicated board members, and welcoming the newly elected governor and board of directors.

There is something so powerful about being in a room filled with women committed to lifting each other up and creating opportunities for women and girls in our communities. After 50 years, the passion, service, and heart behind this organization continues to grow stronger.

On Friday, we were honored to present our Blanche Edgar/Shirley Godfrey grants to two incredible organizations making a meaningful impact in our community: Carmichael HART and Girls on the Run.

These organizations are changing lives through compassion, empowerment, support, and opportunity, and we are proud to help further their missions through the work of Soroptimist International of Sacramento.

Carmichael HART continues to provide hope and resources to individuals experiencing homelessness, while Girls on the Run inspires young girls to build confidence, strength, and leadership skills that will carry them into the future.

Thank you for the important work you do every single day to uplift our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to support organizations that truly embody the spirit of service and giving back. 💙

To everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, shared our event, and supported our Soroptimist International of Sacramento Spring Fling Wine, Beer & Food Tasting event... THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. 💙✨

Because of your generosity and support, this became our most successful fundraiser of the year! What an incredible reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a great cause.

Every ticket purchased, raffle entry, donation, volunteer hour, and shared smile helps us continue supporting women and girls in Sacramento through scholarships, awards, mentorship, and programs that help them achieve their dreams.

We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you who helped make this event such a meaningful and memorable success. The Art of Giving was shining brightly all night long. 💕🍷🍺🍴
