Ernie Sule Jr. Scholarship

10/10/2026

At Ernie’s request he asked for a “take your daughters to work day” on Thursday night. We of course obliged.

We have collected some cans and bottles from friends and family recently which translated into a cool $20 for the scholarship! Small things add up for a good cause!

It’s strange not seeing Ernie in the booth!

2026 football season is off to a good start. You may even see Ernie!
Though Ernie announced that he was retiring from his volunteer position, it seems he just can’t stay away! He has been over at the school and practices almost daily. I went looking for him last week and he was in the gym with the jerseys all spread out for distribution. He did not travel with the team for the away game, but watched intently on NSN. (I shall spare you the pic of him watching in his underwear.) We are happy he is doing what he is comfortable doing as long as he doesn’t hurt himself doing it! 🏈❤️

Look at me exceeding my goal! 2027 applications are headed to all the local high schools.
You can also email for an application too! [email protected]

Do you know a local high school student athlete who plans to go into the military, a trade or college? Please encourage them to apply for the scholarship this year! The application will be given to the local schools by October 1st. Deadline will be April 1st 2027.
This scholarship is unique in that we would love to support someone going into the military or a trade, just as Ernie did.
You can also email [email protected] to request an application. Spread the word!

I’d like to thank Scott D and the girls in the Alderman’s Toyota accounting office for collecting cans and bottles to donate to the scholarship!

Ernie’s absence was mentioned in the paper today. ❤️🏈

Is there a better place to be a football fan than Middlebury on the weekend of Sept. 18-19? No.
