Sister Chicks for Christ began 20 years ago in a home with 10 ladies sharing the Bible, choruses, and concerns. It has grown from 10 ladies to 750 - 900+ at The Foundation Isothermal Community College. It is a mini-conference encouraging women to reach out to their corner of the world - seeking to change their families, their neighborhoods, their county, their churches, and our nation. Their is no church involvement and the volunteers are from many different faiths with a desire to give hope to women through Christ. The conference is held each September on the last Monday of that month...it is a casual atmosphere with a program of contemporary, gospel, and hymns with a different beat...speakers from South Carolina, Illinois, Michigan, Chicago and wherever God leads... You can be tired from work, frustrated from children and husbands, even anxious and God seems to let you leave with a spring in your walk. God points his finger and clears the way as he leads us in the planning of this time. Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors, this free event allows women to invite other women as guest and others to come that cannot afford a larger amount...it enables women to invite all who God places in their path. God provides funding through other Christians that God leads them to give without being asked by our volunteers. God has given us the desire of our hearts by using us to change our corner of this world.
