Our members were honored to represent our school, Logan County Career and Technical Center. We went to Lewisburg School for a trunk or treat for the students in grades K-8, truly had the best time handing out mental health bracelets and being scientists for the day. 💚🧪

Last Friday, October 24th, a mixture of our FBLA Community Service Committee and members volunteered at the Lewisburg School Fall Festival. They came early and helped set up, had amazing professional customer service assisting the community at the concession stands, and stayed late to help clean up.

Olivia Guevara, Ashlyn Wooldridge, and Illiana Cornelius helped serve while Mallory Shelton was extremely kind and made great memories with the students. They all displayed exceptional servant leadership, leaving their mark in our community!

✈️We’re headed home! Wow. We’re thankful for the opportunity to attend the 2025 FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA. Through competing, taking ASK certification exams, networking, workshops, seminars, and so much more, FBLA provided a unique experience to gain critical skills that everyone in attendance will utilize for a lifetime.

🌴🏢NLC by the numbers…
💙Kentucky FBLA registered 71 chapters, 535 people in attendance from our high school division, 83 from middle school. With 16,000+ people in attendance from all over the USA, it was an experience we will always remember.

🏢Monday, June 30th

👏Heer Patel competed fist thing in the morning in the Impromptu Speaking Event. She demonstrated critical thinking, adaptability, courage, and authenticity to effectively communicate. We’re incredibly proud of her!

🌇Anaheim’s Packing House was recommended by one of our KY state leaders, Mrs. Danna, so off on an adventure we went!

🤗It just so happened that while Heer was competing, Mrs. Amanda made new connections. We are so thankful to Mrs. Stephanie Yeckering, the FBLA adviser for South Warren High School out of Bowling Green, KY, for inviting us to join their group to Huntington Beach for dinner and fellowship. They were incredibly welcoming and we look forward to learning best practices and collaborating in our future!

☺️🧡Mrs. Amanda was overjoyed to unexpectedly be reunited with two members from their team, Orange Akana Lani, from FBLA KY Leadership Camp while at the beach. Landon and Grace are two incredible young leaders who are making such positive waves throughout our nation.

🏝️We arrived safely and then headed for lunch on the beach while awaiting the check-in time at our hotel.

🌟We couldn’t believe it, we were actually in California attending opening ceremony for FBLA Nationals!!

💄🤝We were so lucky to have Karisa Bodnar, CEO of Thrive Causemetics, be our keynote speaker. She shared her journey from high school to now with candid and inspiring advice to everyone. She’s created an amazing company that has donated over $150 million in funds and products to over 600 Giving Partners.

We attached the article about her story from the FBLA magazine we received. We promise the five minutes of reading it will change your life for the better.

✈️😎Sunny Day
Sweepin' the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get?
How to get to… CALIFORNIA!? 🎶🌊

We are so honored to share that we earned an invitation from competing at the Kentucky State Conference and advanced onto….FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA!

📢💛Heer Patel will compete tomorrow in her event, Impromptu Speaking. She speaks from the heart with confidence and courage. Please send good thoughts for her and all of those who are attending FBLA NLC.

🫶🏼Also, we’re so proud of Mallory Shelton, Jacob Bollenbecker, and Gabe Markham for being invited for their Community Service Project, but they were unfortunately unable to travel. Your dedication and commitment to spreading the word about the importance of making sure everyone feels included and has a purpose was outstanding. 👏

Our FBLA members, Adaya, Karmyn, and Ryann took a courageous step to improve themselves so that they could serve others better. They attended the 2025 KY State Leadership Camp in Hardinsburg, KY. They all were taken out of their comfort zones and grew tremendously because of it.

☀️The camp had over forty different chapters from KY (high school with even some middle school!) that were all mixed up and then put into eight teams. The members attended daily workshops, team building sessions, and of course— some friendly outdoor team competitions! The camp was filled with courageous, compassionate, innovative, and supportive members who built one another up. To be a witness to them not being afraid to be themselves and bring others along with them was something that will last a lifetime! Our future is in good hands. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard behind (and in front of) the scenes to make this camp truly transformational for all.
